Amelia Blick

I’m new to HubPages so please be patient with me. As a newbie, I realise that I have several things I need to learn about HubPages especially in terms of building online content and high quality hubs. As a newcomer, I’m also looking forward to familiarising myself with the plethora of topics and forums on this site. 

But first, a little bit about me. I’m a freelance writer and visual artist and confess to never having specialised. As a visual artist, I draw from both my Art School training and my academic background in Fine Art and Art History.

Also, to date, I’ve written a series of short stories and poems. My non-fiction writing draws collectively on my graduate training in political science, political philosophy and visual culture, my experience in wearing several hats as a civil servant and my interests in environmental activism, film, visual art, theatre and popular culture.

I’m here because I enjoy writing – this is me following my bliss. I’m also here because I hope to meet several like-minded souls who share a similar joy in writing.
